Getting to New Zealand
You can expect to pay approximately £800-£1000 for return flights to New Zealand from the UK. Of course, special cheaper deals are often available from the various airlines. Whilst we don't include the flight in the price of the holiday we are happy to find flights suitable for the itinerary and dates for you. We have experience at finding great deals on flights and also, through Singletrack New Zealand have good contacts with local New Zealand travel agents and as such, we hope to find you the best deal possible.
We are happy for you to arrange your own flights too. Many major airlines fly to New Zealand every day. Before paying for your flights, we recommend you confirm with us that your holiday has reached the minimum number required and is confirmed to go ahead.
Baggage Allowance
Baggage limits are subject to change and you should always check with your travel agent before you book a flight. Generally if you travel via the U.S (for example on British Airways or Air New Zealand) then you will have a baggage allowance of at least 23kg x 2 pieces plus carry-on luggage. However, if you travel via Asia, the baggage allowance is often a total maximum of 20kg plus carry-on luggage. Also, it is the policy of many airlines to impose a surcharge for carriage of your bike (though this also often means it is allowed to be a bit heavier than a standard piece of luggage). It is worth checking with your airline if it is their policy to impose such a bicycle surcharge.
